Once Approved

Once approved we will list your RVs on our marketplace and connect you with renters to earn revenue.

Move into Storage

To participate in the Fleet Matchmaking service, the RVs in your fleet need to be relocated to one of our discounted commercial storage options at RecNation. Each storage option has electricity. In addition, we allow you to operate your rental business directly from the storage facility!

Grow Your Fleet

Once you are settled in storage, we will start pairing you with RV owners who store at our location. Their RV will get added to your rental fleet so you can start generating additional revenue!

Bonus: they pay for their own storage since they will also be storing with RecNation!

Recurring Consingments

As long as our RV owners are happy with your services and you are happy with ours, then we will continue to send our RV owners your way!

FAQs

How can I get onboarded?

To register your fleet, fill out the form below. If your RVs are accepted, one of our team members will help to list your RVs to the marketplace with all the information provided.

Requirements to join:

  • To be eligible for our matchmaking services, fleets must be stored at our RecNation Storage facility. Then you can be paired up with one of our RV owners who wants to consign their RV.
  • If you don’t want to store at RecNation, you can still list your RVs on our marketplace!
  • RV Owners/fleet operators must maintain RV insurance at all times while in the rental program, understanding that renters will pay for damage to the vehicle while its being rented.
  • RVs have to be 20 years or newer to qualify for the service and renter’s insurance.
  • Has safe and operational tires (no more than 5 years old)
  • Undergoes regular maintenance (oil changes, tire replacements) – check with fleet operator if they handle any maintenance items.
  • RV is in good working order (fridge, stove, air conditioners, furnace, doors, cabinets, etc.).

How do I receive and see rental requests?

  • Our team is the first line of defense for each rental request. We will answer any questions upfront from the renter before passing it onto the owner – this helps to minimize your effort when booking rentals!
  • To see/accept rental requests, fleet operators need to download the Slack app and join our community (instructions on how to do this in your onboarding email).
  • Once the renter confirms their booking request, we pass it along to the fleet operator to approve via Slack. You have 24 hours to approve the rental request

How much can I earn and how do I get paid?

  • Variable Income: Income varies by location, RV type, and listing duration. Contact us for specific numbers.
  • Annual Revenue: RVs can generate over $60,000 annually in some cases, though earnings can be less than $15,000 for others.
  • When operating a consignment fleet, you can take up to 50% of the rental revenue for each rental; the rest goes to the RV owner.
  • To get paid, you need to provide us with your ACH information. After each rental, you will receive a direct deposit to your bank account for the rental amount.

Costs:

  • The marketplace is free to join!
  • For each rental, there is a 15% platform service fee that will be deducted from the rental payout.

Can I conduct rental operations out of the RecNation Storage facilities?

  • Yes, if you are a paying RecNation Storage customer, you may conduct your rental operations from inside our facility. This means you can meet with customers, clean your RV, and repair it all from our facility grounds.
  • This benefit allows you to meet with renters in a safe and secure place – and not at home!
  • If you wish to operate your rental from our facility, make sure to upload proof of insurance during onboarding.

Do I have to be a RecNation storage customer to join the marketplace?

  • Anyone can join! You don’t have to store at RecNation to list on the marketplace, but you need to store with us in order to use our drop-off/pickup hub.

How can I access the RV owner community and what are the benefits?

  • You can access the RV owner community directly from the Slack app! There are public channels that are exclusive to RV owners on the RecNation Rental Marketplace where owners can ask each other questions and share knowledge to help each other grow and manage their rental business.
  • If you are new to managing your RV rental, it is a great way to get questions answered from more experienced owners in the community.
  • If you are an experienced RV rental owner, it is a great way to pass along knowledge and information to help grow the community and help everyone make more profit.

What happens if the renter damages something?

  • Each renter is required to pay a security deposit and also purchase renter’s insurance through the platform. This renter insurance covers them for the entire duration of their trip.
  • Prior to each rental, the fleet operator and Renter are both required to fill out the pre-departure form and upload photos of the RV in its pre-rental condition. After the rental, both parties again need to fill out the post-departure form to notate the post-rental condition. These need to be completed within 24 hours before/after the trip for insurance to cover.
  • The renter is required to bring back the RV in the same condition as when they left with it.
  • If there are damages during the rental, upon return, the damage must be documented and the RV owner must submit it through our platform for insurance payout. The RV owner also must provide documentation of a quote/estimate to repair the damage and then our team will use the security deposit and insurance to cover the costs.
