RecNation Rental's Consignment Program

RecNation Rental’s Consignment Program, also known as the White Glove Consignment Program, is a comprehensive service designed for RV owners looking to generate income from their vehicles without hassle. This article provides details about how this program works, step-by-step.

  1. Onboard RV: To start, you’ll need to register your RV with RecNation Rental’s consignment program. A team member will review your RV to ensure it meets the onboarding requirements and quality standards.
    1. RV Owners must maintain RV insurance at all times while in the rental program, understanding that renters will pay for damage to the vehicle while its being rented.
    2. RVs have to be 20 years or newer to qualify for the service and renter’s insurance.
    3. Has safe and operational tires (no more than 5 years old)
    4. Undergoes regular maintenance (oil changes, tire replacements) – check with fleet operator if they handle any maintenance items.
    5. RV is in good working order (fridge, stove, air conditioners, furnace, doors, cabinets, etc.).
  2. Match with Fleet Consignment Operator: Once your RV is approved, RecNation Rental will match you with a fleet operator in your area. At this time, you will schedule a meeting with the fleet operator to discuss how their business operates, what is expected from you, and what they handle.
  3. Rental Booking: When someone rents your RV, the fleet operator takes care of everything from start to finish. This includes handling all customer inquiries, completing the booking process, handling insurance coverage, preparing the RV for pickup, and cleaning it after each rental.
  4. Payout: The fleet operator will pay their RV owners each month based on the rentals that were booked (payout frequency may change depending on fleet operator) minus their service fee. The standard commission for a fleet consignment operator is 50% for their services.

One of the major advantages of this program is that maintenance and repairs are handled by the fleet operator’s service team. This means you can rest easy knowing that your RV is always in top shape and ready for the next rental.

In addition, RV owners can still use their RV, all they need to do is notify the fleet operator of the dates they plan to use it.

Thus, the White Glove Consignment Program allows you to generate income from your RV with minimal effort on your part. It’s a great option if you want to make money from your RV but don’t have the time or desire to manage the rental process yourself.
